Rescue 818 is a 1997 Mack MR chassis with a Marion body heavy rescue. 818 is first due to all vehicle accidents with confirmed entrapment. Essentially a tool box on wheels, 818 carries a large array of equipment including: An Amkus Ultimate Rescue system with four 100 foot hydraulic reels preconnected to 2 spreaders, 1 heavy duty cutter, and a pannel cutter. Additionally a gasoline powered 2 tool simultaneous power unit is carried, in the case that the vehicle mounted extrication system would break down, or the accident is in an area that is unaccessable to 818. 818 also carries a 30Kw PTO generator, 20Kw diesal generator, and 9500 watts of vehicle mounted and portable scene lighting. a 12,000 pound ramsey winch is mounted to the front bumper of 818. Finally, a six cylinder 6000 PSI cascade system with low pressure aire reel for re-filling cylinders and air tools respectivly.
